The Institute

The French Institute in Qatar opened its doors in 1989. It is part of the French cultural network which brings together 98 Institutes and 830 Alliances Françaises around the world. Attached to the cultural services of the French Embassy in Qatar, it participates in the influence and dissemination of the French language and culture. Our mission is to strengthen and promote cultural exchanges between France and Qatar through cooperation actions in the fields of culture, education, higher education, scientific research, among others. In our premises as well as outside our walls, with individuals or with our partners, we offer language courses, certifications and diplomas in French and Arabic as well as a rich cultural program, especially in March, the Francophonie month.
