The DELF General Public (Diplomas d’Etudes en Langue Française) is designed for people wishing to evaluate their level of French for personal, academic or professional purposes and is valid for life. Foreign students wishing to continue their studies in France are required by French universities to provide a DELF AP diploma. The DELF AP assesses the levels (A1, A2, B1, B2) of the European Language Framework (CEFRL). The DALF (Advanced Diplomas in French Language) corresponds to advanced levels (C1, C2).
