
The Library of the French Institute is a multimedia resource centre about contemporary France. Its main mission is to provide information about the different aspects of French and French-speaking culture and civilization: literary, artistic, social, scientific and technical.
The Library has three different areas: an adult section,a young people’s section and a pedagogical one for French teachers. Members of our staff are there to guide you in your research. Consultation is free of charge in all the sections, but you need to take out a subscription if you wish to borrow books and take them home.
Collections:
Library stock in the French language is concentrated on French and Francophone culture and Arabic documents in French; it includes books, comics, newspapers, magazines and educational materials.
SUBSCRIPTION:
Subscription 1 at 300 QR : 8 articles (books and magazines).
Subscription 2 at 500 QR : 18 articles (same)

All the subscription are valid for one year from the date of enrollment. Borrowing is maximum for three weeks.
Beside the subscription at the library, you can also get a free access to Culturetheque, a digital library with books, audiobooks, magazines, newspapers, music, learning materials,… Get access to thousands of resources online !
